The XX century went down in theatre history as an era of great upheavals and transformations. Next to the new theories and systems by Vs. Meyerhold, B. Brecht, E. Piscator, R. Schechner, J. Grotowski, T. Kantor, H.-T. Lehmann in productions and performances have started being used new media technologies that are absolutely necessary on stage nowadays. Theatre has begun to lose its autonomy becoming closer to the realities of everyday life. Can we talk about the end of the era of Aristotle theatre? What’s the reason for this change? And what can we expect in the future?
