Paviel Priazhko, the Belarusian dramatist and playwright, is often called the sharpest playwright of present time. His texts are successfully staged in post-Soviet countries and in Western Europe, being translated in manifold languages. His artwork is source for articles and dissertations all over the world. According to the leading Russian theatre critic Paviel Rudnev, Priazhko “has managed to change the path of modern play”. The director Vladimir Scherban considers Priazhko to be the next Nobel Prize nominee from Belarus.
