Premiere —October 21, 2020
Authors Alexander Adamov, Elizaveta Mashkovich
Performer Alexander Adamov
The goals and objectives of the “Ready-Made World” Laboratory were not focused on the creation of texts, however, the participants achieved impressive results in this area. Within the laboratory the director Elizaveta Mashkovich wrote the intertextual play A Flight to Mars — a generational statement where quotes from Tom Wolfe are intertwined with ones from popular songs. The text was embodied through symbolical objects by the artist Alexander Adamov, who at the same time acts as a performer and will present the play to the public. Alexander Adamov and Elizaveta Mashkovich continue their searches in work with objects, space and video projections, which they started in their collaborative project Ave, Richard.
Alexander Adamov — an artist, set designer of the performances M. (Minsk), God Rides a Bike (Mogilev), Deja Vu (Bobruisk), Ave, Richard (Minsk). Author of exhibitions Look at Your House («University of Culture» gallery), Do Not Step out of Margins (Ok16), Ok Adamov (Ok16).
Elizaveta Mashkovich — graduate of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, director at the New Drama Theatre. Participant of directing laboratories and festivals. Among the most significant works there are Cain, There Is No Jim Morrison, and Ave, Richard.
The presentation of the sketch will be followed by a discussion. Moderator — Elena Malchevskaya, curator of the “READY-MADE WORLD” project.
